Une autre fonctionnalit\u00e9 dont nous sommes ravis de parler est le ray tracing en temps r\u00e9el pour les jeux. Le ray tracing est une m\u00e9thode qui permet de simuler le comportement de la lumi\u00e8re en tra\u00e7ant des chemins lumineux \u00e0 partir de chaque pixel de l'\u00e9cran, en les faisant rebondir sur les objets et en les reliant \u00e0 leur origine lumineuse. Cette m\u00e9thode, techniquement appel\u00e9e \"path tracing\", permet d'obtenir des ombres, des r\u00e9flexions et des r\u00e9fractions tr\u00e8s r\u00e9alistes, ce qui n'est pas possible avec les pipelines graphiques traditionnels de tramage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme il est important de comprendre la diff\u00e9rence, cette distinction est le premier sujet de cette vid\u00e9o. Le tramage est la m\u00e9thode traditionnelle de rendu des sc\u00e8nes 3D dans les jeux. Les objets du jeu dans l'espace 3D sont projet\u00e9s sur un plan 2D (votre \u00e9cran). La couleur, la texture, les reflets et, bien s\u00fbr, l'ombrage sont g\u00e9r\u00e9s par des sous-programmes appel\u00e9s \"shaders\". Cette m\u00e9thode n'est pas pr\u00e8s de dispara\u00eetre : tous les jeux utilisent encore des techniques de trame, m\u00eame s'ils prennent en charge le ray tracing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/game.intel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/raster-ray-trace-hybrid-diagram-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20123\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/game.intel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/raster-ray-trace-hybrid-diagram-1.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La rast\u00e9risation est rapide, efficace et \u00e9tablie, ce qui permet aux d\u00e9veloppeurs de mettre en \u0153uvre le rendu hybride et d'appliquer le ray tracing \u00e0 quelques zones s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es au lieu de ray tracer l'ensemble de la sc\u00e8ne, ce qui serait trop intense pour que les ordinateurs actuels fonctionnent de mani\u00e8re fluide. Les API de jeu telles que DXR et Vulkan RT ont \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ues avec le rendu hybride \u00e0 l'esprit et aident les d\u00e9veloppeurs \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer les rendus tram\u00e9s avec des effets de ray tracing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pourquoi la rast\u00e9risation est-elle \"stupidement rapide\" ? Intel et d'autres fournisseurs de GPU ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 et optimis\u00e9 pendant deux d\u00e9cennies un ensemble de mat\u00e9riel sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 \u00e0 fonction fixe pour aider les moteurs de calcul tels que X<sup>e <\/sup>-cores. Avec les GPU Arc, le ray tracing b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie \u00e9galement de son propre mat\u00e9riel sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce aux nouvelles unit\u00e9s de ray tracing (RTU). Chaque RTU comprend deux Ray Traversal Pipelines pour tracer rapidement les rayons \u00e0 travers la structure g\u00e9om\u00e9trique et peut g\u00e9rer 12 intersections de bo\u00eetes et une intersection de triangles par cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/game.intel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/arc-ray-tracing-hardware-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20124\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/game.intel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/arc-ray-tracing-hardware-1.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cet ensemble de mat\u00e9riel de ray tracing donne aux GPU Arc non seulement d'excellents taux de cr\u00eate, mais aussi un d\u00e9bit \u00e9lev\u00e9 dans les utilisations r\u00e9elles du ray tracing. Mais le X<sup>e<\/sup> Les architectes ne se sont pas arr\u00eat\u00e9s l\u00e0 : la derni\u00e8re pi\u00e8ce de ce puzzle est notre Thread Sorting Unit qui aide \u00e0 mettre en \u0153uvre ce que nous appelons l'Asynchronous Ray Tracing. Cette unit\u00e9 g\u00e8re la divergence des rayons et combine les rayons avec des shaders similaires afin d'assurer une utilisation maximale de l'espace X<sup>e<\/sup>-Les scores dans les sc\u00e8nes simples et plus complexes. Tout cela est un peu technique ? Dans notre comparaison c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te \u00e0 partir de 17:06, vous pouvez voir le jeu de TAP \u00e0 gauche avec le RT activ\u00e9, et mon jeu avec le RT d\u00e9sactiv\u00e9 - mais le mien inclut des reflets sous la forme de \"reflets de l'espace de l'\u00e9cran\". Les reflets de Tom sont persistants, nets et ne disparaissent pas. Je ne suis pas mort dans ce jeu, mais les reflets flous de l'espace de l'\u00e9cran disparaissent d\u00e8s que l'objet qu'ils refl\u00e8tent est hors de l'\u00e9cran, ce qui est une limitation des techniques de tramage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vous cherchez des chiffres sur les performances ? Notre vid\u00e9o n'est pas compl\u00e8te sans eux ! Nous avons d\u00e9j\u00e0 montr\u00e9 les performances graphiques de l'Intel Arc A750, mais nous nous int\u00e9ressons maintenant au GPU haut de gamme Arc A770 qui ex\u00e9cute des jeux en 1080p. Une fois de plus, en comparant avec la Nvidia RTX 3060, le graphique ci-dessous montre les performances dans plus d'une douzaine de jeux \u00e0 trac\u00e9 de rayon - voir nos informations de configuration au bas de cet article.
