Unlocked Intel® Core™ 14th Gen Processors Enhance Your Gaming Experience
Get ready for the next generation of PC gaming performance, brought to you by a refined Intel 7 manufacturing process, augmented through AI-enhanced overclocking, and complemented with best-in-class connectivity.
The unlocked Intel® Core™ 14th Gen desktop processor family features as many as 24 cores operating at up to 6GHz in an expertly tuned performance hybrid architecture. These CPUs make up the heart of the ultimate gaming platform, supporting cutting-edge and future standards, such as Wi-Fi 7 and Thunderbolt 5TM. Drop-in compatibility with a diverse ecosystem of today’s motherboards, based on Intel 600- and 700-series chipsets, means an upgrade to the latest and greatest couldn’t be easier.
Meet the Lineup
When only the best will do, the flagship Intel? CoreTM i9-14900K and 14900KF deliver unmatched performance for your most demanding games. Both processors hit frequencies as high as 6GHz right out of the box—a feat previously achieved only by the limited-edition Core i9-13900KS. The Intel? CoreTM i9-14900K and 14900KF feature eight hyper-threaded P-cores and 16 E-cores that can combine to work on 32 software threads simultaneously. Intel? Thread Director technology ensures the right thread is running on the right core at the right time. An improved fabrication process allows these cores to deliver Turbo Boost and base clock rates up to 200MHz faster than the previous generation.
A new feature called Intel? Application Optimization gives you a boost by tuning thread scheduling and application threading on a per-game basis, directing application resources in real time. As a result, the Intel Core i9-14900K and 14900KF accelerate gaming performance by as much as 23%* compared to leading competitor processors.
Enhancements to the Intel 7 process pay even more significant dividends to the Intel? CoreTM i7-14700K and 14700KF, which get four extra E-cores compared to the previous generation. Now armed with eight P-Cores and 12 E-cores, these beefier CPUs also enjoy higher Turbo Boost frequencies for an extra performance kick, particularly in content creation workload, such as streaming or recording your gameplay.
The value-packed Intel® Core™ i5-14600K and 14600KF offer frequency bumps of their own. Six P-cores hit Turbo Boost clock rates as high as 5.3GHz, while eight E-cores boost up to 4GHz.
Boosts to Performance and Overclocking Opportunities
Performance enthusiasts can take advantage of the refined silicon’s headroom to get better overclocking results from our latest unlocked Intel Core 14th Gen desktop CPUs.
To tap into the overclocking goodness, download the latest version of the Intel? Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel? XTU) with AI Assist. Based on an AI model trained by Intel through evaluating hundreds of hardware and cooling configurations, AI Assist profiles your system and recommends custom overclock settings specific to the unique combination of hardware in your rig. The interface is designed for simplicity; it proposes settings that you can apply with a single click. AI Assist works with Intel Core i9-14900K and 14900KF processors.
When you’re ready to dive deeper into the world of overclocking, check out the Foundation Toolkit at foundationtk.com. This third-party overclocking tool is based on the Intel? XTU software development kit; it enables similar functionality to XTU from a cloud-based interface. However you choose to overclock your unlocked Intel Core 14th Gen desktop processor, better manufacturing yields and higher P-core and E-core frequencies open the door to higher performance. We’re also seeing more integrated memory controllers able to hit data-rates in excess of 8000 MT/s, with the right DDR5 XMP modules. Expect to see new overclocking world records this generation.
Build Your Next-gen Gaming PC on a Familiar Platform
Intel Core 14th Gen desktop processors maintain compatibility with existing 600- and 700-series chipsets, creating an easy and economical upgrade path for gaming PCs built with our 12th and 13th Gen processors.
These platforms boast best-in-class connectivity, including support for Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.3 networking, as well as enabling next-gen Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 technologies through support for discrete controllers.
Both chipset families support Intel? ThunderboltTM 4 wired connectivity through add-in controllers as well, along with the upcoming ThunderboltTM 5 standard at up to 80 Gb/s of massive bi-directional bandwidth.
Whether you’re rejuvenating an older PC with a mighty upgrade, or building a brand-new powerhouse rig with the latest connectivity and massive throughput, unlocked Intel Core 14th Gen desktop processors elevate your enthusiast gaming experience with faster frame-rates, less time waiting on downloads, and smoother creative workflows.
