The entire game world is in flight. Developed by Enjoy Studio in Poland, and published by Prague-based studio Bohemia Interactive, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everwind<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was one of the most-played demos on Steam Next Fest 2025. The game releases in Q1 of 2026, which means sometime between January and March\u2014we\u2019ll tell you more when it gets closer to the time. No matter the final launch date, we\u2019re on board all the way, because Intel is partnering with Bohemia Interactive and Enjoy Studio not just on hardware support but on marketing as well. What we can say right now is that the game has attracted a ton of interest and early, wildly enthusiastic, comparisons to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minecraft<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Skyrim<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with gamesradar.com calling it a &#8220;can\u2019t fail&#8221; combo of mechanics and combat. Bohemia Interactive were happy to invite Intel Gaming Access onto their flying ship to discover what lies above the clouds\u2026\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12663 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/game.intel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/everwind-newsletter-02-1920x1080-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" ><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everwind<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a novel take on the RPG and sandbox survival genre using a first-person perspective,&#8221; Bohemia Interactive explains. &#8220;Players embark on an adventure with their friends in co-op\/multiplayer, where they can build a base on a flying ship, gather resources, craft, loot, and fight while uncovering the game&#8217;s backstory.&#8221; What we can say about that backstory is that it involves floating islands that provide clues to the collapse of a civilization. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everwind<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a procedurally-generated, fully destructible, infinite world offering the ability to build freely. Bohemia Interactive describes the game world as: &#8220;An advanced RPG system that includes character development, skill progression trees, and a wide range of equipment that goes with it. [There\u2019s] a flying island-ship as a mobile base and means of exploration, with an option to manage resources and the building of modular mechanisms; a dynamic combat system that connects different weapon types, magic and special skills; a co-op mode that allows players to explore and fight together, with optional support of dedicated servers; and an original narrative story about a shattered world, in which the fate of three distinct civilizations intertwines.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12664 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/game.intel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/everwind-newsletter-03-1920x1080-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" ><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The comparisons to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minecraft<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are rooted in the creators\u2019 love of voxel-based games; a passion that ultimately gave birth to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everwind<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The design is, frankly, awesome, and advancement and exploration are of course key. &#8220;The game&#8217;s mechanics rely heavily on character and flying ship progression,&#8221; Bohemia Interactive explains. &#8220;This allows the player to explore new locations, wield more powerful weapons, and discover new places and dungeons.&#8221; About those weapons\u2014there\u2019s a forge, so do-it-yourself weapons manufacture is going to happen, but remember that there\u2019s loot to find, and islands to explore. Not to mention\u00a0 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everwind<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s Bestiary, packed with diverse and unexpected enemies, all designed to draw you deeper into the world and spark your curiosity about its lost civilizations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The characteristics of the world and its representation in the game are very extensive,&#8221; Bohemia Interactive affirms. \u201cEach location is different and reveals a different part of the story. The player&#8217;s task is to connect the stories of the three civilizations and understand the story. Players also get satisfaction from social interaction and mutual achievement. Multiplayer sessions can bring the satisfactions of joint interaction that the game offers: fighting together, creating with the help of a developed building system, cooperation.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12665 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/game.intel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/everwind-newsletter-04-1920x1080-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" ><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can see why Intel would partner with Bohemia Interactive. Over to them for why it was so advantageous to partner with Intel, from both a technology and marketing perspective. &#8220;From a tech standpoint,&#8221; the publisher says, &#8220;Intel\u2019s hardware support has been exceptional. Intel has been very hands-on throughout the implementation process, cooperating directly with the developers from Enjoy Studio, helping integrate and optimize the technology directly within our game. Their solutions are well-optimized and perform reliably across a wide range of hardware configurations, which is crucial for our players. On the marketing side, Intel brings strong promotional reach and partnership opportunities, ensuring the title benefits from broader visibility and alignment with cutting-edge PC technology. Intel opens doors to audiences we wouldn\u2019t reach on our own. Their marketing support helps position the game alongside cutting-edge hardware, which naturally elevates its profile. The combined technical guidance and marketing support made them an ideal match for this project.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We also had to ask: what, from Bohemia Interactive\u2019s perspective, are the biggest benefits for players of optimizing the game for Intel hardware? &#8220;Intel tools and technologies, especially Intel\u00ae X<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Super Sampling (X<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SS), are straightforward to implement and deliver meaningful performance gains,&#8221; the publisher says. &#8220;This optimization doesn\u2019t just help on desktops, as it is also valuable for handheld devices, where efficient performance truly matters. Additionally, technologies like ICX\/PGO significantly reduce stutters during world generation and help stabilize minimum fps.
