It’s been a while since my last update, but the team has been hard at work. Today we are excited to unveil the latest advancements in our Intel Arc A750 and A770 desktop GPUs. Just over three months have flown by since launch with non-stop development by our software team, further unleashing the hardware’s potential. And that’s not all! We’re also excited to announce a new game bundle with Intel Arc GPUs and an even lower price for the Arc A750 Limited Edition card — now $249 — to further restore balance to the graphics market.
Intel Arc graphics now bring more gaming value than ever. The Intel Arc A750 started our mission of driving performance per dollar leadership and today the Limited Edition still reigns with 52% better perf/$ than the Nvidia RTX 3060 12GB!† One major shift making your gaming experience better and Intel Arc GPUs even more competitive is the FPS and smoothness uplift in DirectX 9 games.
We promised better DirectX 9 performance in your favorite games and the numbers speak for themselves. With the latest Intel Arc graphics drivers, DX9 games on average run at a whopping 43% faster FPS compared to our launch driver. Your gameplay will be even smoother with 99th percentile frames improved 60% too. Check out some huge gains in eSports favorites like League of Legends, now 44% faster since launch, or CS:GO, boosted to well over 300 FPS!
DX9 improvements don’t mean DirectX 11 and 12 get left out in the rain. Some games get a modest improvement of a few percent with better stability being the focus. Other day-and-night differences are fixes for previously underperforming games to give you the gaming experience you deserve.
So where did all these improvements come from? Our regularly-updated drivers, of course! Since October we’ve released eight new drivers and supported over 21 new or significantly updated games on their launch days. The dedication to making experiences on Intel Arc graphics better is carrying the momentum forward, so get ready for even more new game support and improvement in released titles.
Speaking of new games, the Intel Arc team is very excited about Nightingale and The Settlers, both out later this year.
These upcoming games will be in the next Intel Arc software bundle, so you’ll get two of the most anticipated titles of 2023 included with the price-reduced Intel Arc A750 or any discrete Arc card. We’re ecstatic to be working with Inflexion Games and Ubisoft and can’t wait for you to enjoy these games on Intel Arc GPUs.
Many other developer partners are also helping everyone get more FPS out of their games with the inclusion of XeSS. Xe Super Sampling is our AI-upscaling solution which gives you more FPS by making intelligent use of GPU resources, and it’s now available in 35+ games, compared to just 17 when we launched in October.
